New Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Chairman

While Cardona’s seating arrangements in the House is under question, one man who will be sitting at the head of the table is Gulab Sharma. Sharma, a Corozal businessman operating Kunal Enterprises at the Commercial Free Zone and a close ally of the Minister of Health, has been handpicked as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. He replaces Doctor Ricardo Fabro, whose name was called in the 2009 scandal at the hospital when doctors complained of corrupt practices in procurement procedures for medical supplies.  The announcement of the new chair is expected to be soon made officially.

He’ll be spending millions of dollars — can he do it honestly, in the interest of the people, or will he do it to profit his friends, family and himself? Let’s keep an eye on him!

Why is it that government can pick ANYONE out of the streets to be in charge of such a very important role. We are already have much )#%# things happening with hospitals and yet they will assign someone that has no clue or experience in health. We Belizeans need to get together and stop this madness.
