What’s Happening this weekend? Arielle’s GPS has the hot spots

The weekend is upon us and as always, your entertainment host Arielle, will make sure you know where to find the fun. The female cross country classic is coming up as well as several school fairs and a special event for poetry lovers. And that’s just a sample of what’s in store in this week’s What’s Happening Belize.

Hey guys, welcome back to another segment of What’s Happening Belize. I’m Arielle. While the Cashew Fest, this past weekend had a bold turnout and we had our fair share of cashew delicacies and sweetness, this week it is all about the fairs! So listen up!……………………

On Saturday St John Vianney will be having their annual Fair at the school grounds started from 4 in the evening. There will be lots of games and attractions and the food and drinks will be fantastic. Also, later in the evening will big dance. So come enjoy yourself, relax in a family oriented atmosphere and support this fund raising drive!…………………………………..

Our Lady of the Way R.C. School is having its annual May fair on Saturday at its school grounds from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Food and Drinks will be on sale,  here’s a sneak peak of this delicious menu;  Cowfoot soup, escabeche, relleno,  rice and beans, burgers, chips and dip, snow cones, slush, Frozen Coffee, and plenty more. Games include; tambola, fish pond, coin toss, you’re a Winner, and a Raffle of a Hamper. There will also be go cart driving for young children, a bounce house and horse back riding. Sound spectacular, be sure to check that out!……………………….

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal will be having there 14th National youth rally, this Saturday at the St Ignatius school compound, activities include;  talk mass, healing prayers, a drama competition, praise and worship. The special guest speaker for the night will be Friar Niby Itteera from the United States. Food and drink will be on sale, so bring out the entire family for a day of fun……………………………..

Global Promotions presents……Spoken Word 501, this weekly event is geared up to showcase Belize’s finest and upcoming voices in poetry.  It all goes down every Saturday from 8 to 10 at the Black Bear Tavern, inside the brown sugar mall on North Front Street, and get this…. to get inside all you need, is to present your college or work ID at the door. So calling on all the creative poets of Belize go out there and show your talent.……………………..

And finally make sure you come on Sunday and support the 22nd annual female cross country classic. It starts at 8:30 am at the Columbus park and finishes at the memorial park in Belize City………………….
