Jeffries will remain as ComPol for another year

Whether or not crime is down, the man at the head of the Police Force, Crispin Jeffries, will stay in place for another year. The government has extended his contract for twelve more months until a successor is hired. According to information available to News Five, even after a new COMPOL is installed, Jeffries will be retained in an advisory capacity to the department.
Now, I will have to look at the archives to remember what BS story Singh told us less than 2two months ago about the Compol’s retirement. While you are negotiating, see if they will throw in that nice house in a retirement community on the golf course somewhere in Florida, North Carolina, Nevada. Forty years on the force & never giving up any secrets deserves more than a paycheck. By the way, consultants get paid far more than employees/civil servants.

WTH? Another year of nightmare. This man should be removed, a temporary replacement found for him and this should provide some goodwill for the embattled Belize Police Force! Nothing will change under his leadership! Nothing. It is insanity to keep incompetence at the helm. The idea of keeping him on as a consultant even after he is retired is a waste of money. What can he offer then that he could not offer now to improve our lot?
If the thought is that it is difficult to replace him, then someone is falling down on his/her job. The only thing that could be unique about Jeffries making it hard to replace him is the level of incompetence and boastfulness that he has!

Folks this talk about getting cops from Los Angleas to clean up gang activities is not even a good joke. Ask all the ex-cop who served in Los Angles how much success they had in getting rid of gang activities?ZILCH. I know this city in side out for almost 50 years. The police is the face of the politicians. When Bradley was mayor of this city he had constant fights with ex-chief of police Gates.because Gates was a hypocrite, his own undercover cops knew that he was involve in drugs while he had the big scharade of been high on crime.Bear in mind that Bradley was a high level cop himself before he became Mayor Note ye all: A politician must have the loyalty of law enforcement, because they are enforcers of the laws that politicians put in place, good laws or bad laws. Law enforcers has got to follow by blind obedience. They swore to enforce the law, so help me god; do you understand the signifance of a sworn statement?

It was bad enough that day offered him a position as Commissioner after they won now to extend his contract this is just preposterous.Like seriously does this administration believe Jeffries is the solution to curb criminal activities since Jeffries has been the commissioner we have seen the worse crime rate in Belize’s history. Mr Jeffries has no kind of education or legal training if we look in the Caribbean almost every Commissioner of Police has an LLB Mr Jeffries only qualification was being the head of a band. The Government has to try and curb crime and for the general public to gain confidence in the Belize Police Department. This incompetent buffoon Crispin Jeffries is certainly not the solution!!!!!!!!
