More shootings in the Old Capital

Aside from the murders, two other persons were injured in Belize City over the weekend. Twenty two year old Randy Allen and eighteen year old Brandon Vasquez were both shot once on their backs. At two-thirty on Saturday afternoon, the men were at a shop on Caesar Ridge Road when a man identified as ‘White’ pulled out a handgun and fired several shots at them.  Both Allen and Vasquez are in a stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

On Friday, thirty-eight year old Calvin Osman says he was at his house, which is under construction on Raccoon Street Extension when the incident occurred. He says that George ‘Pete’ Matthews approached him and fired several shots at him. Luckily, he escaped unhurt. The cops acted swiftly and the following day, twenty-nine year old Matthews of Pinks Alley was arrested and charged for Aggravated Assault.
