Cab driver shot at the back of the head
The body of a taxi driver was found inside a maroon taxi with license plate B-6419 on Guzman Crescent in the Belama Phase One Area of Belize City. The body had one bullet wound to the back of the head and according to one report from the scene, the vehicle was parked since two o’clock this afternoon. Some neighbors say that one shot was heard in the area. The victim has been identified as fifty-two year old Charles Anthony Anderson of one hundred and twenty seven Lacroix Boulevard. One source says Anderson’s foot was still on the brake. Our news crew has just returned from the scene where the police press officer gave an update on the investigation which has barely begun.

“Information of an apparent shooting on Guzman Crescent directly behind me. Upon arrival on the scene sometime after five, police found the lifeless body of a male with an apparent gunshot wound to the back of the head. We have identified the body based on identification cards found on him. Unfortunately we haven’t informed the family as yet so I will have to release his identity to you a little later. It’s a taxi driver and we are investigating—it’s really early.”

“Well we cannot say because we don’t know what he had on him other than his wallet and cash in his wallet. We are not certain if he owned a cell phone, we are not certain if the neighbors heard anything as yet because we have just begun this murder investigation.”
