Police department says Chetumal Street squatters face eviction

The Police Department has informed News Five that it will once again become involved in the situation involving the squatters at the construction site for the Chetumal Street Bridge. According to Police Press Officer, Fitzroy Yearwood, the Police Department is asking the squatters to move immediately as they will soon evict them from the site on the Western Side of the Belize River. It’s a potentially serious situation where poverty and development collide rather than progress together.  We’ll have more on the situation of the squatters in future newscasts as it develops.

Why would anyone want poverty and development to progress together? I think you would like to see poverty eliminated and for their to be development and progress. Just saying.
