Mexican police officer found dead
Up north, shortly before ten on Monday morning, Corozal Police were called to the Santa Elena Border where they discovered the lifeless body of thirty-two year old San Benito Mejia Tun, a Mexican sub-inspector police officer attached to the ‘Policia Estatal Preventiva’ in Chetumal, Quintana Roo. Tun’s body was floating face-down in the Hondo River, clothed in a blue T-Shirt and long jeans pants. According to Mexican media, the police reported that they became concerned when Tun didn’t show up at work for two days. According to the report, Tun’s friends say he was a regular patron at the casino in the Commercial Free Zone and they believe that he might have been murdered. But Corozal police say when they discovered the body, they didn’t detect any severe injuries, but it had bruises to the face and chest with some swelling to the right eye. A post-mortem was conducted on the body but it was unable to determine the cause of death due to advance state of decomposition. The body was handed over to family members and Mexican authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
and again our forensic investigators hit the nail on the head…….God it’s so embarrassing that our forensic investigators are a waste of space!!! that is where some funds should be going to, improving this sector of our country maybe then less brutal murderers might walk out free!!
I couldn’t have said it better belizeanlatin…..Belize seems to need a fresh new course in Forensic Science 101!!!!
who did the post mortem. there is NO properly trained forensic pathologist in the whole country..
but our ministers drive Lexus, and Mercedes and senators drive Infinti. belize has its priorities screwed. i am sure the mexicans will conduct a proper post mortem and will appear incompetent once more.
