Accuser decides to drop attempted murder suit
At the age of sixteen, Stephan Flowers was accused of shooting twenty-seven year old Gilroy Garnett. That was back in July, 2009 and Flowers, who is now eighteen, was today acquitted of Attempted Murder when Garnett took the stand and told the court that he does not want to proceed with the case. Prosecutor Sheneiza Smith closed her case and Justice Herbert Lord directed the jury to find Flowers not guilty. Garnett had initially claimed that he was hanging out with two friends in front of De He Li Store on Freetown Road when Flowers showed up and pointed a gun at him. According to Garnett, he was pursued down the street and Flowers fired several shots in his direction, but only caught him on the foot.

Let’s see how long it takes before one of these two are in the news gain. In the meantime, I would like to know what DPP & BQ are doing to improve their conviction rate.
