Cops and robbers shoot out after robbery attempt of Orange Walk Store
There was an attempted robbery at a store in Orange Walk earlier today. The details are still sketchy; however, it appears that New Hong Fua Supermarket, located on Corozal Road, was targeted by at least two thieves. While the store was not robbed, one of the assailants jacked a businessman, thirty-three year old Adan Awe, of five hundred dollars. Awe was unfortunate to be in the store at the time of the incident and he was allegedly shot by the robbers. After the robbery, the suspects allegedly exchanged gunfire with pursuing cops. Apparently one of the suspects was shot in the leg by officers. That suspect has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

WONDERFUL!!!!! At least Orange Walk is doing things the right way and catching these animals. Send the Belize City Police to train in Orange Walk….
Why cant police kill them instantly?
“Why can’t police kill them instantly?” Dumber than Dumb! However Dangerous!
I agree the police should have shot to kill. Get rid of these useless people so that we can have peae in our jewel
It’s a shame that crime in Belize is about 99.9 percent unsolved and or justice is not served due to lack of training, police brutality, police stupidity or police involvement in the crimes because of family relations. Belize needs to get back to the basics honesty is the best policy. God is watching nothing goes unsolved in His sight nor overlooked yes vengeance is His. That is my consolation when that big day comes………be blessed for He is good.
