4 suspects detained for Orange Walk robbery

On Tuesday night we told you about an attempted robbery in Orange Walk at New Hong Fua Supermarket located on the Corozal Road. Shortly before three o’clock yesterday evening four men, two armed with firearms entered the supermarket and attempted to rob the establishment. Owner, fifty three year old Guoqui Chen told police that one of the armed robbers pointed a gun at his son and demanded money while the other jumped the counter and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. At the time of the incident, thirty three year old sales man, Adar Awe was in the store and was injured when one of the robbers fired three shots. The four robbers made good their escape; however, quick police response led to the detention of twenty one year old Gushani Wagner who was shot in the leg during the process.  Police also picked up eighteen year old Patrick Jones, nineteen year old Jay Flowers and twenty two year old Jermaine Belgrave.
