Shooting on la Isla Bonita
So far we have reported on murders in the west and in the city, but in San Pedro police are investigating a shooting fourteen miles north of town on Saturday. According to Freddy Jaime, a resident of the island, at about eight o’clock that night he was walking along the beach in the vicinity of Sueño del Mar when he was accosted by two men, both of whom are familiar to him. Charlie Espat and another identified only as Crazy, reportedly approached Jaime at which point Crazy drew a firearm and let loose a barrage of shots in his direction. Jaime was hit twice in the chest and was rushed to a clinic on the island before being airlifted to Belize City where he remains in a critical condition at the KHMH.
at one time on the island if someone committed murder he would be dealth with by the towns people now they are commiting murder well hang the ones that did it hang them high.
It’s those same thugs who come from the city causing these mishaps on San Pedro. San Pedro is a peaceful place to live but when those thugs come from the city to cause these troubles, people out there think it’s San Pedranos…sad!
The doctors at KHMH have to be some of the best at treating gun-shots. HOW SAD……….when they could be working on infant mortality rates and other preventable ailments.
It’s not only belize city thugs although they are to blame sometimes. sometimes its illegal immigrants as well. San Pedro has become a place ppl from all over come to make money and make life easier. And as we grow as the jobs are made as money is being made it also bring more crime. ive heard ppl say san pedro is getting too developed. while yes we are at the same time we need to develop our police forces. we need more police, they need higher pay, and at the same time they need to give a $#!% and some do, while unfortunately some just dont.
sad to say with growth comes the criminals trying to make a quick buck at hard workers expense. we need a solution from the community and police officers, we need this countrywide. yes i do agree on the hanging too. you have ….. to aim a gun at a person n fire at them, whether they die or not that person should hang
