2 high school students charged with Attempted Murder

Christopher Sosa

A fifty-three year old ex-B.D.F. soldier is on life support after being shot on the head and shoulder on Sunday. Two high school students; a seventeen year old minor and eighteen year old Christopher Sosa were charged today along with twenty-eight year old Ashton Anderson for the attack on Romel Palacio Senior. All three appeared before Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie and were jointly charged with Kept Prohibited Firearm for a forty caliber S&W pistol, Kept Firearm without a Gun License for a point thirty-eight special revolver and Kept Ammunition without a Gun License for four live rounds of point thirty-eight ammunition.

Meanwhile, Anderson and Sosa were charged with Attempted Murder, Grievous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. They are due back in court on August seventeenth. Palacio senior was inside his house when two gunmen entered and shot him as he headed toward the bathroom. Palacio’s injuries have left him brain dead and he is not expected to survive, in which case the charges would be upgraded to murder. It is believed that the shooters were hired to kill Romel Palacio Jr., who was a witness in the April 2006 murder of Mitchum Heredia.  Emory and Maurice Felix were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for Heredia’s murder, but they appealed and are now awaiting a retrial. This morning, the Felix brothers appeared in the Supreme Court before Justice Herbert Lord where their case was adjourned for September twenty-second because their attorneys Arthur Saldivar and Simeon Sampson were in court on other matters. Judge Lord told the Felix brothers that their case will only be heard earlier if their attorneys can agree on a date when they can both be present in court.

  1. Earl Grey says:

Send them to THE SUSTAINABLE REHABILITATION CENTER…..Prison Farm…..4-LIFE.

There they can EARN THEIR KEEP and CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY at NO COST TO TAX-PAYERS.

  2. Justice says:

It is about time minors names are released. This is habitual and they keep getting away. Once the crime is this grievious, they should be treated as adults as they know very well what they are doing.

  3. Anna says:

I totally agree with Justice. If these so called minors can go about killing innocent people then there names can be released to the public so that we are aware of whom they are. The are freed and they do the same thing over and over and since they are minors they have certain priviledges so they know that they will always get away with whatever they do and we the community do not know who these people are.

  4. second the motion says:

I agree with anna and justice, and can we get good mug shots, frontal and sidewiew like other countries. they committed the crime so lets seet their faces.

  5. a says:

They need to be treated as adults that is too much going into people home and shooting for no reason and consideration. They are cold blooded killers and they have to pay for their crime,God is not asleep.
