Murder trial of woman who set man on fire begins

A resident of Rancho Dolores Village was set on fire and left to die on December thirty-first, 2008 and his common-law-wife is now on trial for Murder. Veola Elvira Pook has been behind bars since January, 2009 and her trial finally started on Monday before Justice Herbert Lord. The evidence began to unfold today when Prosecutor Kayshia Grant called her first five witnesses. Pook’s daughter, thirty-two year old Violet Jeffords, was first to take the stand and she told the court that she was across the street from her mother’s home when she heard a scream. According to Jeffords, she saw the flames and ran over to find her brother throwing water on their stepfather, Orlando Vasquez, who was on fire. Jeffords further noted that Pook stood by and did not try to assist. The other four witnesses are Evan Pook, a cousin to the accused; Thelma Tucker, a neighbor who called the police and ambulance; Bernadine Mai, sister of the deceased and Sergeant Aaron Zuniga, the first police officer to arrive at the scene.

maybe HE done something to her, i am not saying it is right, but sometimes you have to take things in your own hand, cause the law doesn’t want to help. I had a ex that hit me once, I was out for two days, when i woke up I file all charges that I can on him but he didn’t respect what the court order still came to my house, my work on the street its like he knew were I was every time trying hit me cause I didn’t want him back after what he did, I kept calling the cops and they came and see him they shake his hands and said to me that’s their friend. I left Belize cause I knew he would hurt me again and its been six years now and he is still talking about hurting me. IF it comes a time I come face to face with him again and he hurts me. I will kill him. and then the law could come and do their job.
Well, u know something women I feel it when men take chance of us but sometimes we need to bring in the law and lock up those men, but sometimes we are ignorant to the fact so we do stupid things i have four brothers my mom raised seven of her children not to be as perfect as the almighty but she make sure she instill dicipline in our daily life as we grow up my brothers never hit us and we never hit our brothers. 1) because my mother never want to hear her sons are beating their wives and her daughter are taking advantage of their husbands and end up in domestic violence. So all these hard core people who are killing and taking advantage of other mothers children, are adopting those behaviors from what they learn from home

Well that a good thing to take the law into your hands if you do it right. Means that you need to call the went you got to. But it comes to a certains point that you have to protect your own life. As long as you do it right then you will be fine ddo not take the law into your own hands and feels like its okay. In other word don’t wait for the oppertunity your life has to be in danger.
