Edmund Castro wins U.D.P. Convention
Area Representative for Belize Rural North, Edmund “Clear the Land” Castro has been a lightening rod since he was elected in 2008. His office was broken into, a decapitated hog’s head was left on his desk, he lost three cabanas filled with fish feed in what he claims is suspected arson. But his fall from grace came when he was fired as a minister of state over a land scandal. But Castro is not giving up; on Sunday, he was re-elected as the U.D.P. standard bearer for his constituency with one thousand, seventy votes. It was a sweeping victory over the challenger, Elston Wade, who placed far behind with five hundred and sixty-two votes. Also on Sunday, Salvador Fernandez was endorsed as U.D.P. standard bearer in Cayo North.

If the UDP has no one better to represent them than Castro they are really in trouble. Remember My Legacy B4 My People.
