Gas prices at the pump go up
There are only a few hours left to fill up your tanks before the prices of fuel at the pump take another hike. Premium gasoline is going up to eleven dollars and eighty-eight cents per gallon. Meanwhile, regular goes back over the eleven dollar mark and will now sell at eleven dollars and forty-two cents. Diesel prices will go up to ten dollars and sixty-five cents. So head out to the gas station before the clock strikes twelve.

this is exactly why i go to Chetumal every 2 weeks…. pay $60 to full up my tank when it would be double that here….
is it so hard to build a refinery? Our Gov’t spends so much money in other things that make way less sense. things we need Dean Barrow, refinery and forensics/ballistic lab… stop making ur people suffer when you have the power to change our country into one of the best …. we know you don’t understand because u don’t buy gas and you have security everywhere u go,.. but people are suffering and you can change it.

FYI the taxes you pay for gas here also go for paying teachers salary, fixing roads, healthcare etc etc etc. So please do not feel like you are being smart, you are actually hurting your community, and just giving your money to the Mexicans instead of Belizeans. Yes I should bad because i go to Mexico and spend my money don’t I, after all the Government doesn’t take enough money away from my pay… a good 25% chunk after personal allowance… no i should pay more tax tax…. 12.5% on groceries… they are not getting enough from me aren’t they…
let’s pay them more tax so they could buy $200,000 suv’s… Honestly nothing is being done at the core for the betterment of our country and i am sorry but i feel like i am being gouged for tax enough fine sir.. and i need to do what i need to do to survive. who are you to ridicule me in trying to live…..
and ps. i drive down to belize city and in 2 weeks time drive up back with the remaining gas to full up again.

Everything in Belize is going up except the Belizean people pay and convictions of criminals.which is probably at one percent.
last time i went to full up.. it was 9 peso a litre… this translates to $6.30/gallon.
to fill up my 11 gallon tank in chetumal = 69.40
fill up in Belize = 130.68.
call me what u want i’m fulling up in mexico….
i could never spend that little in gas for two weeks in belize.
The price of gasoline is controlled by OPEC, the petroleum commodity market and the GOB (through taxes). A refinery costs in the billions to build. Belize needs foreign investment, With the GOB being broke, it will snow in Belmopan before a refinery is built.
Don’t knock Refinery. TAXES are stupid-crazy in Belize, so crazy that belizeans are taxed on taxes already paid. The biggest rip off is the GST. You pay Customs duties on everything already which is a tax. The retail price you pay for anything includes this tax . So why are you being taxed again? We pay more than fair share of taxex to pay for teachers and civil servants wages but the politicians think they have found the holy grail, found the source of money. That is why everone wants to be a politician. We spend $1 billion dollars each year on government expenditures out of a GDP of $2.5 billion. Do the math. Doesn’t it break your hearts to see how you are being chanced? And we haven’t even mentioned any Oil revenues. Oh Belize Oh Belize , you are doomed if you continue with Barrow and his repressive/oppressive governance.

Monthly, a total of $370 from my salary is given to income tax but yet still I drop in approximately 8 holes on one street – just to mention – before reaching my home. Yet the dumbdament fix road with taxpayers money. Wake up my love and please smell the coffee.
Hey does anyone know how the gas prices work or anything about import, exports, or public finances. There is only a bunch of ranting in anger, you all need to get an education, then a job, and hopefully you can stop complaining and do something in this country. The gov’t obviously does not have to worry about the gas when they have to worry about people like you ALL going living here. If you ALL dont smarten up then we REALLY will be in trouble.
