Phillip Palacio behind bars after accused of molesting a minor

Phillip Palacio

A man, who has been accused of molesting a fifteen year old girl twice in four months, was sent off to the Central Prison today. Forty-four year old Phillip Palacio—not to be confused with the legal aid attorney who bears the same name—is a Belize City sanitation worker. He appeared before Magistrate Albert Hoare this afternoon and pleaded not guilty to two counts of Aggravated Assault of an Indecent Nature. He was denied bail and is on remand until August eighth when he is re-appear in court. As recently as Thursday morning, Palacio was allegedly caught in the act by a relative of the minor. He was reportedly touching her inappropriately while she slept between four and five a.m.  The previous incident was in April when the minor claims Palacio caressed her on the breast.
