Another forged land title scam in Dangriga

In the last three weeks a number of people have come forward speaking out as victims of land scams. It was established that a number of properties were sold through what appeared to be a land scam ring operating in the south. The latest report comes from Erasmus Palacio, a retiree of Dangriga Town. Erasmus reported to police on behalf of his brother, Constantino Palacio, of the U.S.A that in July of 2009 he discovered that Vidal Campos was preparing to sell his lot, which is located in the north side of Hopkins Village. Erasmus said that when he made checks at the Lands Department in Dangriga Town he found out that the same land had been sold to Gilroy Taylor of Hopkins. Erasmus also said that his brother didn’t sell his land to anyone. Police investigations continue into this latest forgery claim.

I don’t know why these culprits can’t be found and lock them up and throw away the keys, because they darn well know that these properties that they are stealing and selling does not belong to them. There was a police officer a few years ago in Cayo who tried his best to take mom’s property even though the property was already paid for. My mom was notified of it and when she got there she confronted the idiot and he backed off. Some people do have the gut and think that they will always get away with what they do.

What kind of government uses its facilities to help criminals steal land????? The crooked JP should be in jail already, for a start.
