Shot fired into house behind police station
Earlier in the night another shooting incident occurred but luckily no one was injured. It happened on Iguana Street at a home behind the Raccoon Street Police Station. According to forty-eight year old Francine Coleman, she was standing on the verandah of her bungalow house when she heard several gunshots coming from Morrison Alley which intersects Iguana Street. Coleman says that her father was in the bathroom when the shots were fired at around eight o’clock. One bullet penetrated the bathroom and came to a stop in the shower wall. The police later removed one slug from the shower wall. The family claims that Coleman has no disputes with anyone. Curiously however, the suggestion that the shot was fired from the street is disputed because the small pellet hole at the rear of the building is almost fully blocked by a vertical PVC pipe. To reach at that firing angle, the shooter would have had to be at a much closer to the building.
