Seasoned, but unsuccessful criminal gets more years behind bars
Two seasoned street figures, Leon Yorke and Shawn Edwards, were today found guilty of two counts of attempted burglary and one count of damage to property. The men tried to break into the home of Michael Belisle in February of last year. They damaged Belisle’s burglar bar door before they gave up their attempt to burglarize the home located at the corner of Lawrence and Jones Avenue in the Saint Martin’s area.
The part heard trial concluded today before Magistrate Kathleen Lewis. They were both sentenced to one year for attempted burglary and a six month jail term for the damage to property. Magistrate Lewis ordered that the two terms run concurrently to each other effective today, which means they will only serve a total of one year behind bars.

What’s this stupid law about serving sentences concurrently?
