Charged with Handling Stolen Goods that he didn’t know existed
Journalist and talk show host, Glenn Tillett, was arrested in August along with his daughter, Katyce Flowers, for Handling Stolen Goods. The charge was in connection with computers and accessories found at his house following a burglary at the Salvador Embassy in Belmopan. Tillett was escorted to the Belmopan Police Station but had to be hospitalized due to medical complications and only Flowers was formally arraigned. The case has now been transferred to the Belize City Magistrates Court where Tillett was today arraigned for Handling Stolen Goods. He appeared before Magistrate Edd P. Usher, pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of three thousand dollars. Tillett told News Five that since the discovery of the stolen items on August fourth, he has not been interviewed by the investigator or the arresting officer. According to Tillett, the items were stored at the house without his knowledge by Flowers’ cousin, Tyrel Hyde. Tillett says there’s poor policing in his case. The cops have also charged Shelton Pascasio along with two Roaring Creek minors with Theft and Handling Stolen Goods in connection with the burglary at the Salvador Embassy.
