Stabbing at Belikin Fest

Brandon Thomas Bennett

Eighteen year old Brandon Thomas Bennett is tonight being held without bail at the Central Prison in Hattieville following the attempted murder of Kent Moss on Saturday.  The stabbing incident occurred during the annual Sir Barry’s Belikin Fest at the Memorial Park where an altercation ensued between both men.  Moss reported to police that he was socializing with his friends at the event when he got into a misunderstanding with Bennett, an eighteen year old high school student, who produced a knife and inflicted a single stab wound to the torso.  In court today Bennett appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Edd Usher where he was charged with three counts including attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.  A preliminary inquiry will be conducted at a later date. Bennett is on remand until November second when he will reappear in court.  Meanwhile, Moss remains hospitalized at the KHMH where he is listed in stable condition.

Charlie Price: Since you don’t know what transpired, wait for the details then comment after.

JG : Don’t be so judgmental with other people’s children when you haven’t a clue what goes on in their lives and having tattoos does not mean you are a bad person nor does it identify character. Did you ever heard the saying, “don’t take the book by its cover “. Belizeans have a tendency of jumping to conclusion whenever someone or something does not suit their liking. Be thankful that all is well with your family and pray for others and wish them well.

JJ: Evidently you have some prison experience according to your statement.
