4 persons shot on Flamboyant Street. Gang truce at end?
A number of shootings took place over the weekend. This morning four people were shot on Flamboyant Street. Shortly after nine-thirty, residents of the area were working on the street when three men rode up on bikes and fired several shots. Twenty-four year old Emmeth Baptist was shot to the right ankle, twenty year old Ernest Staine was shot in the right hand, twenty year old Cleo Cherrington was shot to the left ankle and twenty-five year old Devon Smith was shot to the left leg. All four injured persons were transported to the K.H.M.H.
Police are investigating another shooting that took place around eight-thirty on Saturday night. Eugene Neal was socializing with friends on Barrack Road when he was approached by two men, one of whom took out a gun and fired shots hitting him on the buttocks. In another shooting, nineteen year old Alfredo Rodriguez, was injured last Thursday night. Police are looking for a man who goes by the name of ‘Brian’. He is of dark complexion and wears long dreadlocks. Rodriguez was riding his bike on Pelican Street when he was shot on to the lower part of his back.
R.I.P. & if he is with the man upstairs, please tell him we need a lot of help in the Motherland.
We all knew that the so called gang truce would not last….WHY DID THE PRIME MINISTER MEET WITH THEM?????
No surprise here well just keep killing each other.
What happened to a man’s word of honor? lol Them scream when police rough them up and then they no can’t stop kill each other. I wish gang leaders would step up to their word and truly protect their community by controlling their street from murders instead no?
well i told you so i have no problem with it kill kill one another gang people please go out in style so the law abiding people can live in peace thank you dean barrow for nothing
Looks like they only agreed to make the truce for the celebrations. They are back at it already.I guess the money that the Prime Minister paid them is all gone and they need more.It is ashame to live in the land of the free when it isn’t that way.We are not free to do anything. We are caught in between the gang violence and the police, because if they are not out harassing the gangs they are out harassing hard working Belizeans because you might be wearing a blue or a red shirt.Leave me alone i can wear what i want it is my money paying for it.People would be fools by voting in this same Gov. again. The tint law has been in effect for a while and still people are getting killed. If they had tint on bikes that would be better to enforce that law because all the killers are riding bikes or walking.I think that the goverment is taking advantage of the people, well they are getting away with it too because all Belizeans do is talk, they will stand up for what they think is right. It is a shame that we can’t come together to take back our country. No Police force nor gang is bigger than the country of Belize. We as citizens out number the gangs and the police, which are obstacles that we must face everyday.
