Seven Seas in partnership with the San Cas Group this afternoon launched the “Seven Seas Think Pink” Campaign. “Santiago Castillo and Seven Seas teamed up to bring up a campaign for the month of October nuh. We are launching off a campaign to support the breast cancer month.”

Andrea Polanco

“Awrite. So I see you some nicely packaged Seven Seas here. Are these new to the country of Belize?”

Robert Burn

“Yes. These are the one-a-day capsules which we are actually launching today for the month of October to raise cancer awareness nuh. I will give you a little explanation about this product. This product is actually the same as the traditionals we usually to take but when it comes to the traditional we would take six capsules a day right, two capsules three times a day. But with this capsule, you only need to take one because it’s a one-a-day but it has the same content as taking the six others nuh.”

Andrea Polanco

“Okay. So explain to us how this will work. It’s the proceeds; a part of the proceeds of the sales of the Seven Seas will be going towards the Cancer Society?”

Robert Burn

“Actually a dollar and twenty cents for each pack of this product that is sold will be contributed towards this initiative to support the Belize Cancer Society, for the cancer month.”

Andrea Polanco

“So in order to jump start this launching of the product itself, I know you’re handing over a donation to the Cancer Society. Talk to us on that?”

Robert Burn

“Yes we’re gonna hand over a thousand dollars to start off the Belize Cancer Society to start off the initiative breast cancer month nuh.”

Laura Longsworth, President, Belize Cancer Society

Laura Longsworth

“We are proud. We do a lot of wellness education at the Belize Cancer Society. We are also part of a commission of non-communicable diseases and cancer is one of that group along with hypertension, diabetes and so on. So we have to make use of whatever we can to engage in preventative activities that will help us to reduce or fight our risk. So it is very important that we build our immune systems. We are very proud to be part of this initiative. The monies will be used to help us with our public awareness campaign and public education. As we enter October, it is usually observed for us as breast cancer awareness month.”

The newly packaged Seven Seas can be purchased at San Cas Stores and pharmacies that carry Seven Seas products country-wide. Burn says that the pink caps for the bottles will be replaced by the traditional red color at the end of the campaign.
