Another prison employee busted with weed
There have been countless stories on persons caught trying to smuggling marijuana into the Central Prison and today a prison officer has been added to list. After he was busted inside the prison with almost four ounces of weed on Sunday, thirty-two year old Dean Crawford is now on interdiction pending the outcome of the criminal case against him. He appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers this morning and a single charge of Drug Trafficking was read to him. Crawford pleaded not guilty and with no objections from the prosecution, he was released on bail of four thousand dollars. His next court appearance is scheduled for November eleventh. Another prison officer, Wilford Broaster, was convicted of Drug Trafficking on September eighth and was fined ten thousand dollars.
