Pardon me; Chief Magistrate forgives a thief

Earlier today, Fifty-two year old Lennox Pinks, a resident of Crooked Tree Village appeared before newly appointed Chief Magistrate Ann-Marie Smith to answer to charges of theft. Instead of being fined or receiving jail time for the offence the bitters vendor was pardoned. That’s right, the Chief Magistrate showed leniency, which is quite unusual in our court system. On Wednesday morning Pinks entered Maya Sew and Sew Store inside the Downtown Shopping Plaza where he proceeded to lift twelve printed tee shirts valued at two hundred, twenty-seven dollars and forty cents. Pinks was busted a few hours later when he attempted to sell the stolen items to a police officer. In court Pinks pleaded guilty to the charges confessing that he stole the shirts so he could in turn sell them to pay outstanding debts. He was exempted from penalty because he is a first time offender.
I think..this is a refresher…i like the new chief magistrate :).
so that’s it? no fine, no community service, no penalty whatsoever for committing a crime? how can this be beneficial to the community.?
so who will compensate the store owner? the store have to sue…. but who will they sue?????

If he will turn to crime at age 52 I would suggest he has been a crook all along but just got busted this time. At fifty two we usually cool down that’s not the time to “bruk-out”.

Now he knows what forgiveness can do. I wonder if the storekeeper forgave him too? He sure is a lucky man and he should make sure he never gets his hands on someone else s’ property. Lets also remember that he was going to use the money for a good thing.
