Honduran man killed on Citrus Farm in Stann Creek

On Friday night we told you about the gruesome murder of an unidentified Hispanic man in the Stann Creek District. On October sixth, Dangriga Police responded to a feeder road at mile ten on a citrus farm on the Stann Creek Valley Road where they saw the lifeless body of fifty five year old Santos Benito Elvir. Elvir, a Honduran laborer of Paradise Shrimp Farm located on the Coastal Road was lying face up with multiple chop wounds to the face, head, right hand, along two puncture wounds on the left side of the body that appeared to be stab wounds and four of his left fingers amputated. According to reliable reports, Elvir was drinking along with two friends at a nearby bar and left the establishment later that night when he was ambushed and killed. Close friends report that Elvir was involved in a homosexual love triangle, which could have resulted in his death. News Five understands that one man has been charged with this recent murder.
