Busy Burglars

Two Belize City residents have lost thousands of dollars in valuables in separate burglaries. On Thursday, Ashley Myvette reported that between June twentieth and October sixth, while she was away, his house was burglarized. Thieves made off with an assortment of electrical power tools and a Sony brand stereo system. His total loss added up to six thousand, two hundred dollars.

Police also received a report on Thursday from businessman, Walid El Sayed, owner of U.S Imports Store on Cleghorn Street. According to El Sayed, between six p.m. on Wednesday evening and seven-thirty a.m. on Thursday morning, his business place was burglarized. The burglars took off with several televisions, vehicle stereos, vehicle amplifiers, DVD players, cellular phones and tools. They also stole a bicycle and one hundred dollars in cash, to a total value of fourteen thousand, one hundred and seventy-five dollars.
