Cat tells Court he paid B.D.F. for uniform

Thirty-nine year old Albert Talbert who also goes by the name of Cat was busted with a B.D.F. uniform last Wednesday when police raided his apartment on Maskall Street. Talbert claimed that he paid a BDF soldier fifty dollars for the uniform. This morning Talbert was taken to court and arraigned for a single charge of unlawful purchase of a military outfit. He didn’t waste the court’s time and pleaded guilty as charged before newly appointed Sherigne Rodriguez. For that charge he was imposed a fine of three hundred dollars which he must pay by November eleventh. But that’s not the end of his woes. In the raid at his apartment police also found a small amount of cannabis for which he was charged with possession and drug trafficking. He pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking but guilty to possession of controlled drugs. The Chief Magistrate has reserved sentencing for the guilty plea until November of this year, when Talbert is due back in court to be tried for drug trafficking.
