Mega Bingo Winner gets over $100,000

Valda Riverol, a resident of Hall’s Layout in Corozal Town, is the latest winner of the coveted hundred and twenty-eight thousand, eight hundred and sixty dollar Mega Bingo Jackpot.  Riverol has been playing the game since it was introduced a little over a year ago and after hundreds of unsuccessful attempts she landed the winning ticket on Saturday night.  This morning, accompanied by her family, she showed up at the office of JD Financials to claim the grand prize.  Still in a state of disbelief Riverol and her daughter told News Five about the purchase of the winning ticket.

“At first we didn’t know it won so we went to every single place to check the ticket and when we found it we couldn’t believe it and then we went to another one and it wasn’t working. We were still not sure until we came here today. so we are excited—a little bit nervous and excited.”

After taxes Riverol takes home a hundred and nine thousand, five hundred and thirty-one dollars.
