Hilberto Hernandez’s trial clarified
There is a clarification to make in respect of a story we carried in our newscast on Monday on the trial of Hilberto Hernandez who was accused of the murder of Javier Castillo in Corozal Town. Our court reporter stated that the judge admitted two caution statements, according to the attorney for the case, the judge did not get to that point and in fact the prosecution offered the lesser charge of manslaughter which Hernandez accepted. Hernandez is also serving a sentence of ten years for attempted murder.
He’s still a killer so Channel 5 should make no apologies because it does not change the crux of the news story
