Caribbean Broadcasting Union Award Ceremony airing on Channel 5

By now you know that here at Great Belize Productions/Channel Five, we have consistently competed and won the Caribbean Broadcasting Union’s awards for excellence in journalism. This year we won four awards for stories presented for television broadcasting. It is a distinction that we have maintained throughout the years which places the local programming produced at this station among the best in the region. In television broadcasting, we bested the region with four awards presented in three categories; Cuba, dominated in radio broadcasting winning nine awards and two in television. Tonight, we air the award ceremony presented by the CBU in Barbados. The one-hour show begins immediately following the local newscast so stay tuned.
