Thieves break into Gadgets Store, but didn’t notice security cameras

A band of suspected thieves responsible for stealing a little over seventy-three thousand dollars in electronics from Lebanese businessman Bassem Chakaraun appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers today before being remanded to the Belize Central Prison. Sometime between seven-thirty p.m. on November twenty-sixth and one o’clock a.m. on November twenty-eighth, seven men including siblings Derrick and Darrel Pineda, Darrel Gray, Joseph Lopez, Francis Arana, Samuel Halliday and Jeremy Bernard reportedly entered Gadgets, an electronics store located at the corners of Central American Boulevard and Vernon Street, where they lifted an array of items from the store. The burglars however, didn’t get to enjoy the proceeds of the heist as they were caught on surveillance camera in the act. In court this morning an application to refuse bail for six of the seven accused men was upheld on the basis that evidence against three of them is strong since they were caught red-handedly.

The other accused is a minor who has since been remanded to the youth hostel. In his defense, Darrell Gray who is a parolee, told the court that an officer involved in the case has a personal grievance against him because of a previous misunderstanding involving a woman they both dated. The sixteen year old, on the other hand, testified that he was picked up by police simply because he was in Gray’s company. The group is due before the court on December thirtieth.
Give them 20 yrs in jail quit playing with these thieves.

people who want to be judge should study for that,, and stop judging people and let the court decide. thats the same reason i dont feel sorry for some of you when things happen because too quick to bloody judge many at times some of you are worst than these boys.the police is the same

jose must be a thief aswell that is why his feelings are hurt and is crying like a HO! let the people start taking justice on thier own! i can predict that in less than a week that thief will be out on bail. and again the same $h it will happen that is why the UDP government doesnt give a rarts a$$ because they will let loose even a rapist so that they can be relelected again!
We don’t have to judge cz they are already guilty caught on cam, even a kid can gudge those F* theives what other proof ur asking for? Maybe ull get urs when they come rob u. They don’t deserve Gail they should get electrocuted.
