Myrtle Palacio, New P.U.P. Secretary General
Early last week, major changes were announced to the executive of the People’s United Party. The big news was that Deputy Party leaders Mark Espat and Cordel Hyde were put out. Tonight, there’s another change that appears imminent. The secretary general, Rachel Montejo is to be replaced by former Chief Elections Officer, Myrtle Palacio. Montejo took over that job at the start of this year. The way it works is that the leader recommends the appointment, which normally gets the nod from the executive.
Good news if the two Honorables do not participate in the Party, well get them out, Way to go Francis!
Why Mark and Cordel behave so? I bet you if PUP wins and Mark and Cordel win their seats, Mark and Cordel would insist on being made ministers. As for Ms. Palacio, aint she the lady who wanted to allow voters to take their camera phones into the voting booth so that they could take pictures of their ballots as proof to which ever party was willing to pay them for their votes?
