Burglars rob the Ministry of Education’s Belize City office
The Ministry of Education’s Belize City Office was burglarized over the weekend and the culprits managed to escape with thirteen thousand dollars in electronic devices and equipment; all property of the Government of Belize. And while two of the three suspects managed to escape, police nabbed nineteen year old Frank Trapp, who lives three blocks away. This morning, Trapp was arraigned on a charge of Burglary before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer. He was unrepresented and pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecution objected to bail due to the value of the items stolen and because police are still looking for two other suspects. Still, bail was granted in the sum of ten thousand dollars and Trapp’s case was adjourned for February first, 2012. At around ten o’clock on Saturday night, police received information of the burglary in progress at the Ministry of Education office, which is located behind the Complex Building on Mahogany Street. When they arrived, three men were spotted at the scene, but only Trapp was caught. He had some of the stolen items in his possession and was escorted to the Queen Street Police Station.
Beat him until he names his accomplices then beat them too-that is the only justice as they will eventually be found not guilty despite caught red handed and with the items. Go Police-you know who the bad guys are and it must be frustrating watching them get off and laugh at you outside court-beat them.
