Most in Belize are worse off today than last Christmas, except for criminals and select politicians.
It’s not entirely this GOB’s fault, the whole world is in recession. But GOB has done NOTHING to create a climate where people can start or expand a business, create a few jobs, and give some people hope. For most of us, that’s all we want — an honest job, fair pay, and the right to keep most of what we earn.
So, Merry Christmas and bless us, every one!
And a level playing field — no monopolies or special favours for people with friends in “high places.”
