Arrests made for murdered Nigerian
Three men are expected to be arraigned on Wednesday for the murder of Nigerian national, forty year old Abayomi Olatunji. Olatunji, who was employed by J & B Security Firm, was viciously stabbed fifteen times and his body was dumped in a feeder road at mile three on the Western Highway, where it was discovered on December ninth. Olatunji’s family in Africa told new five that they had information that robbery was the motive for the murder because the security guard was preparing to buy a vehicle. When police detained the first of the three suspects, he was found in possession of cash believed to have been stolen from Olatunji. It is believed that the Olatunji met the three men on the highway to finalize the purchase, but he was robbed, killed and his body was dumped on the feeder road. During the incident, Olatunji appeared to have fought for his life but he was overpowered and stabbed multiple times. It doesn’t end there; there’s a new twist to this case because it is reliably reported that some of the recovered money has gone missing.
1. HANG THE KILLERS. No mercy, no exception. After we hang about 100 of the worst, people will think twice before killing. We MUST begin sometime, so let’s start now.
2. If police or prosecutors stole the money –or helped in it — they should get DOUBLE the maximum sentence prescribed for civilian crooks. We need a law like that. [And how humiliating is it for Belize even to have to discuss missing evidence — money, drugs, or guns — from case after case?]
I agree. HANG their @$$#$. The sad sad thing about it, that you will see these unscupulous lawyers jump up and defend these criminals knowing they did for the little payday. Putting them back on the street to do it again. One would only hope that it would reach these damn Lawyers doorsteps. And the damn legal system in Belize is so Patetic, such a damn joke, that these criminal elements have no fear or respect cause they know they couldn’t convict a fly for pitching on fish at they market.
