…Injured child recovering
We asked Justina about the condition of her baby boy, who was also injured in the accident. And while Anthony was not in the best condition to speak, he told us how he is doing.

“Well right now, no pain but mostly in the night I got pain. But like how I get di treatment, no pain right now.”

“Would you like to say anything to ask the public to assist you all?”

“Well I would like to tell the public to help me as much as they can with the surgery, whatever the cost of the bill when I come out from here. The man weh do di damage is not helping me.”

“I know one of your kids was also with him when this happened, how is he or she doing now?”

“Well my, like how I seh, when I mi lef fi come with him, all I know dat he mi have wah black and blue on fi he knee. Like how he seh, my baby was jumping in the drain when dis accident, he was bleeding pan his head from di mole and di nurse dem just give him a Tylenol in his mouth and put some antibiotic and dats all. And the sent him home and this one come, my husband come dah Belize. But I noh know Belize so I noh know where I could turn, where I could go and ask for help. But now that I come I di get fi learn and know people that I could talk to and that’s how comes I di get a little bit from now on you know.”
