Dr. Hoy 20/20 Vision on Caribbean Shores

David Hoy

The campaign season is in full bloom and the extended newscasts due to political adverts are no less entertaining if not informative propaganda. The fluid situation in Caribbean Shores has been engaging. Minister Carlos Perdomo stepped down after a convention and was replaced by Santino Castillo in the U.D.P.  The People’s United Party last week lost Anthony Mahler as standard-bearer due to personal reasons. And on Tuesday when the prime minister announced the date for the general election, Caribbean Shores only had one candidate. Numerous names have been thrown into the spotlight to replace Mahler, but before the end of the day, well-known ophthalmologist, Doctor David Hoy, was nominated to be the P.U.P. Standard Bearer for Caribbean Shores. News Five spoke to Hoy just minutes ago at his office on Saint Thomas Street. Hoy says that not only will he work along with the Mahler family, but that Anthony Mahler will now serve as his campaign manager.

David Hoy, P.U.P. Standard Bearer, Caribbean Shores

“Anthony is my campaign manager and his committee we had a meeting last night and Anthony endorsed me as the standard bearer. So everything is hopefully a smooth transition and we’re moving ahead. Shortly after speaking with you, Anthony and I will be on the streets working tonight. So we’re trying to make this transition as smooth as possible. And I think with the experience of Anthony and my enthusiasm and my willingness to come in at the eleventh hour is something that even though might look strange, might be the winning formula.”

Jose Sanchez

“And as you mentioned at the eleventh hour, you must realize that you are going up against Santi Castillo. The numbers he ranked at his convention were one of the largest so far. And as you know, the Ministry of Works has been paving streets in his name. This is the eleventh hour for you; he can at least say that I inspired some streets being paved and fixed up some parks—he has been shaking hands from last year. The eleventh hour; what can you do and how will this affect your profession as an ophthalmologist?”

David Hoy

“The first part; Anthony and his committee and his dad have been doing a lot of campaigning in Caribbean Shores, so it’s not like there is nothing being done by the team. So I coming in at the end here is; the campaigning part will just go on as it was before. As you can see I’m here at my clinic in the last two days I am trying to slow down as much as I can and my business has always been that I have doctors working with me. So it will be that kind of transfer.”

Jose Sanchez

“Has it come to your family to want to see think twice cause you know Dr. Francis Smith as the next professional now in a profession where politics as you know there are much negativity added on to it. You sure you really want this?”

David Hoy

“The thing sometimes Jose, a doctor is—it’s rare that you are in my office interviewing me about politics. Your patients come in here and it’s always a problem; something is wrong that’s why you go to see the doctors. So your nature is to solve a problem. And so that is what I have been doing for the last twenty-five years. So serving problems that are political problems—or problems for people in a different area—even though it is different in that sense, it is still a problem. [And] you need a problem solver. And that’s how I come in and I see my strength.”

VIP vision is inspired by one man who is inspired by something that made dean lose in 2004 , focusing on corruption instead of pushing a meaningful change agenda. people wont look at that now if they didnt look at it then. Bobby has some good points and the guy from city is articulate. but dat no convince cruffy fu swing any at all. dean win by pushing and buying organizations like ACB and triggerring other fanatics to go stone the house. it all seem like pup mi d fail back then, but belizeans neva want pay more taxes yet de want tek blood outta stone. wen dean win, afta all d shenanigans, he raise tax anyway, and bobby will not have any option but to use a cheap tactic too.
