GSU catches some robbers
A trio of stickup artists was busted in the act of robbing a fast-food vendor this afternoon on Partridge Street. Eighteen year old Adam Joseph, eighteen year old Clifford Lorenzo and twenty year old Stanley Moore were attempting to flee the scene of the crime when a team of GSU officers descended upon them. The pursuit ended inside a house on Santa Barbara Street where a search was subsequently conducted. The shakedown turned up a total of twenty dollars in various denominations, as well as a cellular phone, four grams of marijuana and an unlicensed firearm. The handgun, a black point twenty-five Jennings brand pistol, was discovered in the yard. On the ground next to it was an empty, matching cartridge. The three men, two of whom are no strangers to the law, have been arrested and charged with robbery and two counts of kept unlicensed firearm while Joseph, who was fined for possession of a controlled drug in January, will be charged for a similar offence. It is of note that Moore, a fisherman of a Fabers Road address, is a known affiliate of the Gill Street Gang.
