Special Constable busted with unlicensed gun

A special constable is behind bars tonight for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammo. Jose Adolph Haylock, and his common-law-wife, Corrine Diana Martinez, were arraigned this morning in the court of Magistrate Roberto Ordonez for keeping a point twenty-two firearm and twenty-one live rounds of ammunition without a license.

They were both remanded to the Belize Central Prison until March fifteenth. On Saturday the Gang Suppression Unit conducted a search at Martinez’s house on Louise Bevans Street and found the firearm concealed in the living room and the ammo in the bedroom. Haylock and Martinez will remain behind bars until they can secure bail through the Supreme Court.

    Police officers should be allowed to have personal guns…AT LEAST THEY ARE ACCOUNTABLE.
