Viewer poll not keen on U.D.P. 2nd term
Do you believe the current government deserves a second term in office? That was our question of the week and the results were fast and furious. Almost four thousand persons voted on our e-poll; the vast majority of them were against the Barrow administration. Ninety-two percent voted no to a second term in office for the U.D.P. and a miniscule eight percent said yes. One person who commented on our blog said “The U.D.P. has failed Belize. They are no good for this country. Come March seventh, we will see better days.”
I would love to see how we will see a better Belize with the PUP when just four years ago this administration stole $20 million dollars from the people and has said nothing about it! Place this comment forward too!! See if the PUP had different heads and not the same thieves maybe, just maybe they would be worth a penny!!
Its not only this news site lots of people are voting. Check out the Amandala online section where the Shacron issue was on. They mentioned an unusually 2,300 persons voted and almost all voted in favor of Shacron’s issue where she should have been given the opportunity to be recalled just before elections.
This is what happens when u give an ignroant black man power. They think they are an elite social class of creoles. Let the DESPICABLE UDP be damned and let us start afresh with the new PUP faces and energy.
HA, I dnt see the difference between the PUP and the UDP(the PUP wasted 20 million of GRANT money given to Belize and the UDP just wasted 16 million of BTL shares received) IS THERE A DIFFERENCE? I tink NOT!!! Imagine how the ppl of Belize could have benefitted if that money had been properly invested and not squandered on cronies and trying to buy electoral votes with hams, liquor, etc.
PPL who run for a political party are cut in half because they must 1st & FOREMOST answer to their party before they answer to the constituents and country. Hector Silva has it right, independent candidates have more power if elected than does a PUDP candidate
Well, PUP was foolish and criminal – who would argue? However these days it is about the hungry bellies watching the proclaimed saviors of 4 yrs ago behaving SO man! As a wise farmer said, what you prefer – a highish light bill that you can comfortably pay or a ten dollar light bill that you have no money to pay cause you have no job? Jobs, business, pride in providing for family, that is what is REAL. Four years ago, the many in our Jewel were so happy to give this roots and educated Belizean a chance to rise above the dirt and govern with elegance and class, in observance of our laws and governing with fairness & common respect & decency. Instead, he has repeatedly launched so many thoughtless & close minded initiatives, each one compromising the people’s money more and more. He no longer even tries to cover up his pettiness and seeming hate for one man who has bigger fish than Belize to fry. Oh, and his scorn for any disagreement, especially by women. Now he has a tantrum about paying the sovereign bill and is not at all ashamed to yell it loud to the world. The world likes Belize, but most everything we have here, they can get somewhere else. But we do need to get along with the world. Hey, it starts at home, though. Anyway folks, his money is already in the bank. Where is yours? Have you thrown it to the campaign? In support of which……? I guess we will know on March 7th.
