As we move forward, Belizeans are becoming more self aware, more knowledgeable and more educated therefore which ever government is elected just be careful with your promises that you make to the Belizean people.
I think this will be very close indeed but the people know this Government has failed and have no vision to grow the economy. With that said i believe the PUP will be victorious.
PUP: 17 seats

I believe that the Belizean electorate can no longer be taken for fools. We can all agree that this administration has failed our country. So come March 7, the people will make a choice to vote them out in a very close race. I agree with H. Elrington predictions. But if after 4 years the PUP cannot deliver then they too will be booted out!!!

I say that People who comment on Channel 5 seem to be advocating for PUP none of them(commentors) seem genuine or really concerned for the country. I think we should vote for people not party.
With all due respect Mr Dean Oliver Barrow you have again failed your country. I KNOW that you could have done a better job if you have kept your promises. You are like the father who prefers to let your children STARVE FOR YOU TO LOOK GOOD. I think you will have to say HASTA LA VISTA BELMOPAN

It is time for politicians to stop taking us for fools, how can this government ask us for another mandate when it has not even fulfilled most of the promises it made, we can no longer imagine the possibilities, they simply do not exist.
I will not predict numbers, but the majority of the Belizean people are not satisfied with the performance of this government, and to top it all, the arrogant and reckless statements spewed by the P M has turned off many of us even amongst his own supporters, so i believe P U P will win, even though it may be by a slim margin.
well lets be real folks do you really believe that the Prime Minister is calling early elections because if wants to? Put it this way from the way he behave he obviously is a man who love power so then why call early election? well the answer is simply because he believe that at this time he could still fool the Belizean people and pull of a victory whilst if he wait out his five years he wont stand a chance because what he is hiding right now will be revealed. why you all think they dont want to read the budget before the elections? the answer is because it will be catastrophic for them because it will contained tax increase and possible laying off of government worker or a wage freeze and cut. the Reality is my fellow Belizean if we want our country to progress we need to vote out the UDP the PM has been suffering form foot in the mouth syndrome which has caused our credit rating in the international arena to plunge three natch in little over a month. that is not good for foreign investment which is already crippled by the high crime rate. the UDP has failed the Belizean people in every regard the only person who has benefited from them are Loise young Barrow, Anwar Barrow, Shine Barrow who ran away with out money, Dennis Barrow, Kiwani Barrow, Santi Castillo and the Singh Brothers. The UDP has even abandoned those who elected them to office for four long years then suddenly they showed up giving us what is already ours under the guise of helping us come on Belizeans what they are giving us are what we deserve so dont let them say that they are giving us anything, they came like the father who abandoned his children for all the years when they were young and suddenly when they children grew old he comes back and say these are my children, hell know let not but into their lies, corruption, nepotism and false promises, lets show that that we are educated enough to see the difference. for all these reason i urge all belizean to cast your vote on election day for a better Belize by voting for the PUP thats the only way our country can move forward. Jah love Belize forever.
This has become very very tense, tedious and exciting!!!! There is that something of a GUTS , of an old GURU that tells me that the tide has shifted. Remember that it was the PUP that gave the victory to the UDP.( All those Guats. WILL VOTE BLUE by their traditional BLUE color, they NEVER vote red, NEVER, and all will see it soon!)
One sure thing ,or “esto” as said in spanish: this is far closer and much more “shifted” NATURALLY without campaigning toward the PUP camp.
I`m honest, I am NOT in favor of ANY ANY party, but rest assured, “ASSURED” that the tide has shifted effortlessly toward the PUP camp!
Salva in Cayo has already lost, he has NOTHING to do. Penner will suffer defeat because of the independent candidate. Of course they are doing a lot of campaigning lately, but TOO LITTLE FAAR TOO LAATE !!! Those roads should have been fixed long time ago!
in his last manifesto the UDP promised to lower the cost of living no matter what. Belizeans ask yourselves the question is your dollar worth more at the store today than it worth 4 years ago when the UDP came in? The PM, said we will ensure that gas price do not past either $7 or $8.00 if it reaches there the government with observed the difference that was his promised. what the price today $12 + dollars? next look at GST that was also increased and if given a second term he will increase it again. next he promised to lower electricity, water and phone, well that has not happened just in february because he know he have to face the electorate he decide to reduce electricity by 6% put that is nothing and again its just in induce us to vote if back in office so he could do us what he want. now even after he high jacked BTL we are still paying through our nose for phone it was surely better off in the hands of ashcraft because all the UDP is doing is using the money to fuel their political campaign. the bottom line is my fellow Belizean the UDP has made our country worst and we need to show them that we are not fools and have the best interest of our country at heart. Dean Barrow is set for life see the big law firm building he build from Ashcraft and our money on regent street. and for the record i am a UDP my entire family are UDP but we cannot vote for that party anymore. The PM has been more than disrespectful toward women look at how he treated Moya, Ann Marie Williams, and most recently Mrs Matura Sheppard who is UDP to the bone, no wonder why there is no women contesting no division for them cause they see women as inferior guess they forgot where the came into this world from.
General Elections I see it 17 PUP -!4 14UDP . City council Elections Pup Mayor and as well as the Indian Candidate and Dj Tambran winning for the Pup City Council the rest will be UDP councilors. I agree it will be mixed councilors !!

These present government does not care about the country much less for the people. I left the country when i was 17 years old to pursue my career . Now I am a young professional who graduated with honors and happen to be the best foreigner in my graduating class. I was granted a scholarship by the University to do my Master degree and I also excelled. I came back to Belize and I applied for a job that was advertised in the Amandala and I got the Job. The first day at my job I WAS FIRED BY THE UDP GOVERNMENT at 2:00pm with no explanation what so ever…the best the minister could have said, was that I had to ask him for the job and since my dad is a PUP over his dead body i will get to work in his ministry. Now if Belize does not need a young , vibrant professional like me to work here you can be certain that other countries would do excellent with my service. Now i know I am not the only one that has been victimized. But if the UDP comes back into office KNOW THAT BELIZE HAS LOST ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL. Remember it was your tax money that made me who I am and i am more than willing to serve my country, but if Belize does not need my service I can definitely serve another country…. The UDP only think about themselves and family.

I can only wish UDP does not get back into power but I believe by hook or crook UDP will pull something to stay in power. We may see additinal box of votes show up out of nowhere. I hope the PUP stand hard against any voting manipulations.
Time for UDP to go and bring back some confidence to the Jewel!!!!
