Man shot in face; was politics the motive?
There was a shooting incident near the Benque border today. Was it a random act of violence or was politics involved? The details are still sketchy but it involved a twenty-four year old man who lives in the Belize side of Arenal Village. According to sources, Minor Najaro was driving a black Toyota Corolla with taxi license plates when the incident occurred. Najaro was hired to take a man known as Weso to Melchor. Weso, however, pulled out a gun and shot Najaro in the face. Apparently Weso intended to shoot him again but another cab driver identified as Jorge Chanec was passing by and the shooter fled the scene on foot. Chanec then transported Najaro to receive medical treatment. There is an additional element to the story that can’t be confirmed. Two sources allege that a few days ago, the driver of an elected politician from the west, invited Najaro to dinner, during which Weso was present. And that was allegedly the only time that Najaro had met Weso prior to the shooting. Najaro has been transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he is accompanied by his mother and sister, Edilmira and Mira. Both relatives are reluctant to comment.
How is this political ?
maybe not be a political issue but rather could be a personal hit man hired y someone with personal issue with the taxi man.
Politics is not involved its a love triangle gone bad who does not know the back ground of the Minister Driver and his deeds dats y he was alwys in Arenal but everythng comes to light one day

They should hang him so that other think twice before doing this kind of act. Hang the next 100 crime offenders and you will begin to see a decrease of crime in this country!
