Improvements made at W. Regional Hospital
In news from the capital city, construction crews continue to improve the appearance and integrity of the buildings that make up the Western Regional Hospital. According to a release issued by the Press Office, official handing over ceremonies of the refurbished maternity ward took place this morning. The unit now has a fresh coat of paint, improved electrical wiring, and hurricane resistant windows. The project cost approximately two hundred and forty thousand dollars and was completed by Lopez Equipment Company.
Other construction work at the Belmopan Hospital is ongoing and includes a new surgical wing, in addition to hurricane windows, new wiring, and general cleanup. All renovations are expected to be completed by December. Loan funding for the initiative is coming from the Inter-American Development Bank through the Government’s Health Sector Reform Project.
