Shooting at Chinese Store in Cayo
Also in Cayo, a Chinese business was robbed shortly before midday. According to the owners of Bing’s Supermarket, an armed man entered the store and robbed them of a computer, cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash. As he fled, the armed robber opened fire on his victims; fortunately, no one was injured. But the shooting took place just around the corner from the Santa Elena Roman Catholic Primary School which had just let out its students for lunch. So when the gunman indiscriminately opened fire, there were several students walking in the area and the incident could have ended tragically.
That robber is like a crazed animal, no regard for the life of others. He should be treated HARSHLY when found.
Personally, I see no moral difference between murder and attempted murder — the only difference is the aim, not the intent.
I support hanging everyone who uses a firearm in a crime.
hope they don’t charge the chinese guy for shooting in public but should have been awarded for being bold on the chase of the robbers more than what a police would have done here in cayo. to my understanding two of them are well known guys from belize city and the other from santa elena.
young guys that can work but rather lazy out and go robbing hard working people endangering the kids on the street. hope they find them and charge fully ,trail with no jury just the judge.
