Mom misses missing daughter. Have you seen her?
A teenage girl from the Cayo District has been missing for weeks. Her family does not know if she ran away or if she is being prevented from contacting them. It’s a situation that parents would want to avoid at all costs; that is not knowing the fate of their child and Doris Ramclam, the mother of Catherine McKoy, says she only wants to know if her daughter is alive.
Doris Ramclam, Mother of Catherine McKoy
“Catherine McKoy, she left for school 7:30 in the morning to go to Eden High and when time to come in the evening, she didn’t come home. I went to the school, she wasn’t at school so I reported to the police and I haven’t heard or seen from her then. So I come here to ask the public if they see Catherine McKoy or they know anything, call the nearest police station or contact me at 621-9001. And if she di hear this news if she can just give me a call.”
Jose Sanchez
“How many days has it been since anyone saw her?”
Doris Ramclam
“Today dah twenty-one days.”
Jose Sanchez
“Has she ran away or anything like that before?”
Doris Ramclam
“No first time something like this happen.”
Jose Sanchez
“Do you know if she has a boyfriend? Has anyone been able to tell you anything?”
Doris Ramclam
“Well not as far as I know because she is fifteen and going to school.”
Jose Sanchez
“And she is a minor so if anyone is harboring a minor they could also be committing a crime, right?”
Doris Ramclam
“Mhmm.”
Jose Sanchez
“Did she have any difficulties at home; anything that would make her upset as far as you know?”
Doris Ramclam
“No because the day before we were together. Well all the time we are together; we are very close. We don’t have no problem.”
Jose Sanchez
“So you don’t necessarily believe she actually ran away, but ti could be something else?”
Doris Ramclam
“Well to be honest I really noh know because from the fifth of March I haven’t seen or heard from her.”
Jose Sanchez
“Obviously you are very worried, very concerned. Does she has anyway that she could have gone? No one has been able to say anything to you?”
Doris Ramclam
“No. noh know nothing.”
Again, if anyone sees Catherine McKoy please call her mother at 621-9001.
