Benjamin Nicholas died on Sunday in Dangriga. Nicholas is known for the tremendous work he did in promoting the Garifuna culture through his paintings and sculptures. In 1994, William Neal traveled south and captured the story of Nicholas’ life, art and philosophy. Here’s that story.
