Wanted US Fugitive enrolled at UB in Belmopan

Thirty-five year old Nadine Gladden, enrolled at the University of Belize’s Faculty of Management, is a wanted fugitive by United States federal authorities. Gladden, whose real name is Nadine Martin, is on the lam after committing a string of misdemeanor offenses in Tampa, Florida. A warrant for her arrest, for the offence of throwing a missile at a vehicle in Hillsborough County in June 2009, was later issued in June 2010. Gladden, however, absconded and relocated to Belize where she has since registered as a student at UB. It is unclear at this time whether or not Gladden has been detained. The school’s administration nonetheless, says that Gladden met all the necessary requirements for admission and since students are not mandated to submit a police record they were unaware of her criminal background in the United States.

Maybe criminal records checks should be part of the admission process at UB. There are too few available slots, and they should go to the best students with the best character. Criminals need not apply, at least until they have settled their legal matters.

She could have showed up and would have been given a noncustodial sentence with some community service hours and life would have been simple. She could have then do exactly what she is doing now and turn her life around. She has now complicated her life and now she is a felon because she fled.
If she is Belizean then she should be left alone. America never sends their criminals back to Belize to stand trial. When they start to reciprocate then yes. How many have not come down there and mess up our reef and steel our natural resources and molest and murder or children and then escape back to the safety of the US?
Do you know for a fact that she is a Belizean. If she is a U.S citizen, then she is an American. No matter where she was born.

what the hell, throwing a missile is the same as throwing a bottle, or a simple stone. Before you crucify this woman better get the facts. Who knows what were the circumstances even surrounding this incident. She was now even arrested. So she is still presumed innocent. (at least under our laws she is innocent). Belizean or not this is nothing to make such a big deal from. I garauntee everyone in this world can be charged for throwing missiles. so please get real and dont waste time with this story and leave the woman to live her life.

I heard from a good friend of nadine that this a case of baby mama drama. Its seem that Nadine current boyfriend, has his ex girlfriend pregnant and doesn’t want to be with her. So the ex girlfriend made up this story

Really? A criminal is a criminal, you do the crime so do your time. Most of you justifying her wrong doing as nothing shows how ignorant you are. She is wrong, that’s why she is in Belize hiding out. So instead of justifying her wrong doing no matter what it is you should be more concerned about another criminal hiding in your own yard. You have no idea what is capable of doing, or what exactly she has done. Stop showing the world how ignorant you are by supporting a wanted criminal. As for the American criminals that do go to Belize, ask your neighbor why they support these people. Lastly, investors that go to Belize create jobs and opportunities so stop bashing people who come to Belize and make things better. Belize has enough criminal activity going on, the country don’t need more.
