Chinese grocer shot during robbery at his business

While the criminals kept away on Sunday night, this morning there was another shooting in the city. The victim, Chinese grocer, Wuo Zheng Wu is lucky to be alive after robbers targeted his store on Jane Usher Boulevard shortly before nine this morning. Wu was carrying in soft drinks through a grill door when one of the men, armed with a gun, shot him and robbed the store of cash and electronics.

“Weh happen, this morning Mr. Wu, a Belizean national, naturalized Belizean, went to take his children to school and apparently, he bought something and bring back to the store and apparently three assailants came and attacked him, which he fought off and got shot in his right hand.”

“Okay, what’s his condition at this time? Do you know if he has been released from the hospital?”

“Yes, he has been discharged and he is recovering at home.”

“He was shot in his right arm, lower arm where he was robbed in excess of a thousand dollars, one of the computers that they used to sell boledo, their cell phones and both men just got on separate bicycles and managed to escape. Luckily Wu wasn’t seriously injured.”

 

Police investigations continue into the murders and other violence that took place over the weekend.

    Belize is at war with itself and nothing the government can do about it.

    There are few folks in government who knows exactly who is the leaders of these thugs in the city, why not give up the manes to the B.D.F. and let them handle the situation in the city, it is quite clear that the thugs have better weapons than the police, and if it is war they want then let then fight against those that can control them. it is high time for martial law to be declared in belize city.
