Belize City gangster is killed execution style on Wagner’s Lane

Clifton Flores

Turning to the city where hell broke loose on Saturday night. A gang affiliate, who has had numerous run-ins with the law, was killed execution style. A gunman rode up and emptied his firearm on Clifton Flores, who was hanging out on the street side of his old neighborhood on Wagner’s Lane. Unlike a previous attempt on his life, Flores did not survive the volley of bullets. News Five’s Isani Cayetano reports on second murder on Saturday.

Isani Cayetano, Reporting

Twenty-five year old Clifton Flores, whose extended rap sheet dates back to June 2006, was mercilessly bumped off by an unknown assailant on Saturday night.  Flores, a resident of Caesar Ridge Road, was seated on the street side along Wagner’s Lane shortly after ten p.m. when he came under fire.  The gunman unloaded a hail of bullets hitting Flores multiple times to the head.  Police Press Officer, Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood:

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer

“What we have gathered so far is that Flores was on Wagner’s Lane socializing on the side of the street with some other men when a lone gunman just approached them and opened fire on him.  Flores was hit in the head several times and the chest.”

Prior to his death Flores was involved in a string of offences ranging in gravity from kept unlicensed firearm and ammunition to armed robbery.  He was also embroiled in a well publicized feud with a known adversary.

“We are still trying to find witnesses because this happened around 10:30 in the night.  We believe that and Wagner’s Lane is a very small, densely populated area.  The street itself is very small and the houses are very close so we’re trying to see if witnesses would come forward being that this is an area where Mr. Flores used to frequent.”

On November 8th, 2011 Flores was accused of robbing forty-four year old Joe Hamilton, also deceased, on Wagner’s Lane, his former stomping ground.  Two years earlier, on January 26th, 2009, he was assaulted by an armed assailant on bicycle who fired several shots hitting him in the right shoulder, elbow, leg and knee.

Inspector Fitzroy Yearwood

“Actually investigators are trying to examine some of the reports involving him, from the past, to see if we can find who would have had [a] motive.  We are not ruling out anything but the best witnesses are eyewitnesses and we are asking the general public [to assist in our investigation.]  We want to see a cease to all this street violence and we are asking them, only you can help us to stop this.  Come forward, give us the information even if you don’t really want to make a statement for identification purposes, help us to get these people off the streets.”

If this man was standing with other people talking someone had to have seen this killer. The only way they could not see who done this is if they were all blind. Please people pray for our country, this is spiritual war that has taken over this country. This is not natural, Satan himself is laughing at all these young people he is destroying. Where is the church, how can the church remain silent. Please church leaders begin to wage warfare on the enemy, the church holds the key to stop this attack on the country. If any church leader reads this I would like to communicate with you on how to start this fight to change things in the spiritual realm. This is not the ramblings of a crazy person, I am a minister, let me help you.
